Thinadhoo woman who was sexually assaulted has passed away tonight

The woman from G.Dh. Thinadhoo who was in the ICU of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) following sexual assault has passed away tonight.

Police confirmed to Sun Media that the woman died last night. The Police currently suspect that the woman was a assaulted by her husband who has been brought into their custody.

The woman died after two weeks on a ventilator in the ICU.

The husband Ibrahim Shaah, 40, has in Police custody has been remanded for the third time.

Police did not release any information on the case so far.
