Man arrested with large amount of drugs

A man has been arrested in Malé City with a large amount of drugs.

In a special operation by their Drug Enforcement Department, Police arrested a 19-year-old man.

During the search of his residence after his arrest, Police said that they found 43 bullet sized rubber packets of suspected drugs.

Police said that the Criminal Court has remanded the man by ten days to continue the investigation.

The 19-year-old man arrested has record for terrorism and theft.

Drug Enforcement Department of the Police is investigating the case.
