Pickup truck falls into Hulhumal

A pickup truck has fallen into the Hulhumalé lagoon with it’s driver.

The truck that fell in is used in taxi service in Hulhumalé. The driver of the vehicle escaped without any harm.

Police Media Official said that the truck fell into the lagoon while getting close to pick up a cargo. The pickup truck lost control and fell while backing up to the jetty.

“While trying to backup, the truck slipped off the jetty, lost control and fell. Information received says that it fell along with the driver.” Police Media Official said.

The truck has now been retrieved from the Hulhumalé lagoon.
