M. Golden Bean pistol case sent to PG Office

Police have submitted the case regarding the discovery of a pistol at M. Golden Bean in Malé to the Prosecutor General’s (PG) Office.

A PG Office official told Sun Media the case was received today and is under review.

The suspects involved are not known.

Police and Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) officers raided M. Golden Bean on 30 October 2015, followed by H. Hilton and M. Raufath.

M. Raufath is the residence of Azlif Rauf, a suspect in the murder of Dr Afrasheem Ali in 2012.

Azlif’s brother Inthif Rauf and another man were arrested during the raid of M. Raufath.

No information has been shared with media by police.
