Cases have been submitted to Prosecutor General (PG) office against nine suspects who caused damage to VTV building on 19 March during the protest by MDP against the delivery of the presidential address at the Parliament.
A Police media official said today that the case was submitted last Wednesday, and they were still working on identifying more people related to this crime.
At a trial in High Court, Police Sergeant Moosa Latheef said that 52 people were caught on video while throwing bricks at VTV, but only nine had been identified so far.
The people whose identities have been revealed by Police so far are Ahmed Muheen of G. Haalam; Ismail Hammad of Fehiali, R. Maduvvari; Ahmed Hameed of Hameedee Manzil, R. Alifushi; Hussain Hameed of Hameedee Manzil, R. Alifushi; Mohamed Hameed of Male’ registry 7471; Ahmed Naeem of H. Ladhumaage aage; and Hussain Farushan of Jewellery, S. Hulhudhoo.
