Two arrested with beer can in Hulhumal

Two men aged 20 have been arrested with a can of beer in Hulhumalé.

Police said they were arrested by Hulhumalé patrol police near Flat 85 on Friday night.

The beer can was found under the seat of their motorcycle after being searched by officers following suspicious behaviour, police said.

Police further said that one of the suspects has record for theft and drugs and had been released after rehabilitation treatment, while the other one has record for terrorism and drugs.

The case is under investigation by Hulhumalé Police Station.
