Two houses in Henveiru searched

Security forced has conducted a search at two houses in Henveiru and seized some items from the houses.

In a joint operation with the Police, armed forces searched the houses Moonlight Valley on Roashanee magu and Lilac House, No. 2.

The Police Media official confirmed the operation in Henveiru but he did not say which cases they are related to.

While MNDF has been conducting searches on the islands and residences in Malé City as part of the investigation following the explosion on board the Presidential Launch, Police said that they found a handgun from a residence of the now impeached Vice President, Ahmed Adheeb.

The security forces said that it is likely that there are more firearms in the hands of the people and that they would be working to recover them.
