MDA thanks MPs for voting to remove VP Adeeb

Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) has thanked the MPs who voted in favour of the no-confidence motion against Vice President Adeeb in parliament today.

In a statement, MDA said that Adeeb was accused of being involved in the explosion on the boat aimed at killing President Abdulla Yameen, and thanked the MPs who supported the motion to remove him.

Adeeb was removed from the post of Vice President by the unanimous vote of 61 MPs in parliament today.
