MNDF:

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has confirmed that the device found in the harbour area in Malé is not a bomb.

The area was closed earlier today over a ‘suspicious’ device, which was transported to Maafannu Stadium by MNDF.

The situation was handled by MNDF Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.

Yesterday, STELCO building area in Malr was closed following similar reports. MNDF later confirmed that the device found in a vehicle parked on Dhonadharaadha Hingun was not a bomb.
