Court gives 15 days as detention for two boat blast suspects

Criminal Court has given detention periods of 15 days for two suspects arrested after Vice President Ahmed Adeeb, in relation to the investigation of the explosion on the presidential speedboat.

Police said their detention periods were confirmed yesterday, but did not provide any details related to the two suspects.

Following VP Adeeb’s arrest, police have searched several premises under search warrants issued by the court.

Several arrests were made following the searches, including the arrest of Nominalisation Committee Member of Football Association of Maldives (FAM) Mohamed Hussain.
