Two investment forum government officials to return following visa issues

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) Deputy CEO Mahdy Imad and Head of Corporate Services Ibrahim Afzal have had to turn back after travelling to China to attend the Investment Forum, due to visa problems.

They are expected to return tonight.

The second Investment Forum organised by the Maldivian government began in Beijing, China today.

Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed, Vice President Ahmed Adeeb, and senior officials of the government are in China to attend the forum.
