CP: Everyone that needs to be arrested in the Launch investigation will be arrested

Commissioner of Police, Hussain Waheed has said that the Police is ready to arrest anyone that needs to be arrested in the investigation of the explosion on board the Presidential Launch “Finifenmaa.”

A statement issued by the Police said that speaking at the Iskandharu Koshi today, Commissioner Waheed said that the Police will not hesitate to search a place of any person or people that needs to be arrested in the case.

The Commissioner said that the investigation team has been authorized to use all of the Police resources to find those responsible for the explosion on the Presidential Launch.

Commissioner Waheed said that at the moment, highest priority of the Maldives Police Service is to do a full and complete investigation of the Presidential launch explosion and bring those responsible to justice.

The Commissioner said that at a time like this, no one would be allowed to disrupt the safety of the country and those who try it would be stopped.

The First Lady and a Presidential bodyguard were seriously injured in explosion on board the Presidential Launch. Following the incident, President Yamin formed a National Inquiry Commission to investigate the explosion directly reporting to the President. And that investigation is moving forward in a fast pace.
