Dunya to address ASEAN Conference on Women in Politics

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon as departed to Malaysia to attend the ASEAN Conference on Women in Politics.

She is scheduled to speak at the conference at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, 17 October 2015, in her capacity as the President of Women’s Movement of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).

Vice President of PPM Women’s Movement Aishath Inaya has also been invited to speak at the conference.

This year’s theme is “Promoting representation through connectivity and innovation”.

The countries included in ASEAN are Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
