Fisheries Ministry has announced that celebrations on occasion of Fishermen’s Day and Farmer’s Day would be held together.

The Ministry said that the celebrations would be held from November 19 to 21 in Male’, and that it would be linked to “Independent 50” celebrations.

Maldivian Farmer’s Day is August 10, while Fishermen’s Day is December 10.

Fisheries Ministry said that the purpose of celebrating the two days was to acknowledge all who worked in the industry and appreciate their hard work.

They also said that a lot of programs involving private parties in the two industries were in the plans as part of the celebration.
