Charges brought up against suspect in RaajjeTV fire

A man has been charged with terrorism regarding the fire at RaajjeTV an year after the incident.

The state has charged Mohamed Miaad of H. Gasvaa. The Police investigation confirmed that a part of his arm was burned. And so burn scars were found on his right arm.

Although only one person has been charged, Police have sent cases against nine people to the Prosecutor General’s Office to press charges.

That a 17-year-old, two 18-year-olds, a 20-year-old, a 21-year-old, two 22-year-olds, a 24-year-old and a 35-year-old man.

The fire at the RaajjeTV on BTK Building was set on 6 October 2013 at around 4:42 a.m. Aside from the offices and equipment at RaajjeTV, all the goods at the warehouse of Computer Plus at the building was also destroyed beyond use.
