Areef assigned as the Head of Police Intelligence

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Areef has been assigned as the Head of the Police Intelligence Directorate today after relieving Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Jamsheed from the position.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Jamsheed was also selected onto the National Inquiry Commission (NIC) by the President to investigate the explosion on board the Presidential launch.

The current Head of the Police Intelligence, Assistant Commissioner Areef is a previous head of the Police Intelligence.

Assistant Commissioner Jamsheed was assigned as the Head of Police Intelligence on 30 June 2015 after dismissing Assistant Commissioner Areef from the Position. Assistant Commissioner Areef was then assigned as the Head of the Development Directorate.
