Medianet: Channels are interrupted due to jamming

Medianet has said that their channels are being interrupted these days due to intentional jamming from outside.

Speaking at the press conference held at the Medianet office today, their Assistant Public Relations, Simana Ismail said that someone is jamming their signals.

“Our team of engineers investigated and decided that someone is jamming our signals and frequencies. But we want to guarantee our customers that the best service would be provided to our customers.” Simana said.

She said that the frequencies of some of the Premium Channels have been fixed and that other channels would be improved soon.

Legal Advisor of Medianet, Abdulla Yaameen said that the case was presented to the Police on 5 October. And he said that the Medianet is aware of the culprit but due the nature of the case, their information cannot be publicized.

“It is difficult to say who they are right now. But once we noticed this, we have found out who is doing this and how. And the Medianet has taken the immediate steps that need to be taken. And a large portion of the channel restoration has been complete.” Yaameen said.

Medianet says that all the channels would be restored very soon and resume services with prefect frequency to their customers.
