Suspect arrested for MVR 450,000 theft from Immigration Department

A man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing over MVR 450,000 from the counter of Department of Immigration and Emigration in Huravee Building.

Police said that the suspect, a Maldivian man aged 38, was arrested under an arrest warrant yesterday morning.

Criminal Court has remanded him in custody for three days for the investigation, police said.
