Mega Maldives has said that the first batch of the Maldivian Hajj Pilgrims that were scheduled to return this evening was delayed to 10:45 p.m. tonight due to the failure of the checking system.
In a press statement issued tonight, Mega Maldives said that the departures from the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah was delayed due to the failure of the checking system and the stopped the checking belt.
For the return trip of the Maldivian Hajj Pilgrims, Mega Maldives flight LV2210 landed in Jeddah at 5:52 p.m.
The first group of pilgrims under the Hajj Corporation consists of 300 people. They were scheduled to return at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon and was later delayed to 10:45 tonight.
The Mega Maldives airline chartered six flights to cater to 1766 Maldivian Hajj Pilgrims.
At total of 1300 out of the 1766 people who went on the Hajj Pilgrim from the Maldives this year went through the Hajj Corporation.
