Man arrested for blackmailing

A man suspected of an attempt to extort sex after threats claiming to have indecent pictures have been arrested.

Following a case reported to the Police on Wednesday, Police has arrested a 31-year-old local man today.

Police said that the suspected blackmailer was arrested with a court order today at 2:30 p.m. at a guesthouse in Malé City with the efforts by the General Investigation Department of the Police.

The case is being investigated by the General Investigation Department.
