Eid prayer to be held at stadium, if weather permits

Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs Ibrahim Ahmed has announced that if the weather permits, the Eid al-Adha prayer would be held at Maafannu Stadium.

“We have made arrangements, but it’s not possible if it rains,” he said.

If the weather takes a turn for the worse the prayer will be held at Islamic Centre.

This year’s Eid prayer will be led by Islamic Centre Imam Sheikh Mohamed Latheef.

Over 30,000 people have joined the this congregation in past years.
