As the country marks 50 years as a member of the United Nations, the opposition party, MDP has said that the Maldivian Government violates U.N. regulations.
MDP issued a statement today calling the Government obey the Charter of the United Nations and return to it’s regulations.
It said that the Maldives became a member of the U.N. to excel and achieve peace in a modern world.
And so the Maldives has taken an oath remain as a nation that protects the future generations, to remain as a nation that puts independence, human rights and sanctity of humanity and maintain justice and order for the protection of it’s people.
MDP statement said that the current Government has stepped out of the U.N. regulations, violate international laws, unlawfully brutal, openly violates human rights and disrupt equality.
“The Heads of the U.N. Human Rights, Human Rights Council, Judges, Lawyers and the head of U.N. has raised concerns that the Maldivian Government’s actions are as such.” The MDP statement said.
