Pavilion contract awarded to MWSC

Maldives Water and Sewage Company (MWSC) have been tasked to develop a pavilion at the new Artificial Beach being constructed.

At a ceremony at the SHE Building today, the Housing Minister, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu signed on the agreement on behalf of the Ministry while MWSC was represented by their Managing Director, Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed.

After the signing, Minister Dr. Muizzu said that the pavilion would serve the needs of the people using that area and it would include showers, toilets, a café and special areas for children.

“With the development of the pavilion, it would add to the perfection of the whole beach area.” Minister Dr. Muizzu said.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director of MWSC Fazul said that the toilets and the showers would be established by the end of this year. And he said that the project would be completed in eight months starting today.

Housing Ministry says that the Artificial Beach project is moving forward in a fast speed. The target of the Ministry is to complete the beach by the end of the year.
