Car driven by minor crashes into palm tree

A car driven by a child below 18 years of age has crashed into a palm tree in Addu City, causing major damage to the vehicle.

Police said that the accident took place at around 7:00 a.m. on Monday at Hankede Bridge, and the driver escaped unharmed.

“The speeding car lost control and crashed into a palm tree,” the police spokesperson said.

The driver was alone in the car at the time of the incident.

In a separate incident, a man died following a serious accident on Saturday night in Hithadhoo, Addu City.
