Fatal traffic collision in Addu City

A man has died after a fatal traffic collision in Hithadhoo, Addu City.

The victim in the collision that took place near the Hithadhoo powerhouse around 11 p.m. tonight was 59-year-old Ibrahim Kalo of Vigneege Hithadhoo.

He passed away while under treatment at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.

Police Media Official said that a second man injured in the collision is being treated at the hospital.

He said that the incident took place when two motorcycles collided.

The photos of the incident that have hit the social media depict the destruction of the two vehicles involved. Another picture shows that one of the people involved in the collision sustained a broken hand among other injuries. Sources say that the man was unconscious when he was taken to the hospital.
