Other vehicles banned for bicycle race on Saturday

Transport Authority has banned other vehicles on the streets of Malé on Saturday evening, for a bicycle race.

The race will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm., and all vehicles excluding permitted vehicles have been banned from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The vehicles permitted to operate during these hours are:

Vehicles used by security forces

Ambulances

Taxis and pick-up trucks carrying luggage

Vehicles used by persons with disabilities

Vehicles that come under Public Transport Service, permitted by Transport Authority.

Violation of this regulation will result in a fine of MVR 750, Transport Authority said.
