Dr Shameem appointed as JSC member

President Abdulla Yameen has appointed President of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), Dr Ali Shameem, as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

President Yameen presented the letter of appointment to Dr Shameem at a ceremony at the President’s Office this afternoon.

Before the presentation of the letter of appointment, Dr Shameem took the oath of membership of JSC.

The oath was administered by Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed.

Dr Shameem will serve as the CSC representative in JSC.

He has previously also served as a member of the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM).
