Man arrested for using cash card to steal over MVR 100,000

A man has been arrested for using a cash card to steal over MVR 100,000 over several days.

Police said that the man stole the cash card, and then used it on multiple occasions to withdraw MVR 124,000.

The suspect is a Maldivian man from Meemu Mulah, aged 33.

The case was reported to police on 23 August 2015, and the arrest was made under a court order the following day.

The suspect has been given a remand period of nine days by Meemu Muli Magistrate Court.

The case is under investigation by Muli Police Station.
