108 bottles of alcohol seized while being moved via pickup truck

Two people have been arrested with 108 bottles of alcohol in Malé City while being moved via a pickup truck.

Police said that around 5:15 p.m. today, the alcohol was seized in a special operation by the Drug Enforcement Department of the Police on Maaveyo Magu after it was brought to Malé.

“108 bottles were seized in today’s operation. They were in boxes and a cooler when they were seized. All the bottles of alcohol seized today were of the brand King Roberts.” Police said.

Police said that they arrested two local males of 18 and 26 years of age. And said that the 18-year-old has a previous record for drugs.
