Suspect plane debris found near Mendhoo

An object believed to be a part of a plane has been found in the lagoon off Laamu Mendhoo.

Police said that the discovery was reported this afternoon, and will be investigated by relevant authorities.

Similar discoveries were reported from Banyan Tree Resort and some islands about a week ago.

Civil Aviation Authority has decided to hand over the objects to Malaysian authorities.
