President: Opportunity for joint Maldives Saudi investments is open

President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom has said that the opportunity for joint ventures between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives has been opened.

The President and the Saudi delegate visiting the country to take part the in the Maldivian Independence Day celebrations met at the President’s Office today and discussed investment opportunities in both countries.

Talking about the transportation difficulties between the two countries, President Yamin said that the establishment of transportation system that would make travel between the two countries is important.

Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon, Fisheries Minister Dr. Mohamed Shainee, Minister of the President’s Office, Mohamed Hussain Shareef and the Maldivian Ambassador, Abdulla Hameed attended today’s meeting.
