Man arrested for paying minor for sex

An elderly man has been arrested under suspicion he paid a minor for sex.

Police reported that the 80 year-old man was arrested at around 3:30 Sunday, and that the incident took place in a northern island in Maldives.

Police were tipped off by a good Samaritan and the elderly man was arrested under suspicion that the man paid an 8 year-old girl and proceeded to rape her against her will.
