A stamp set depicting the stories of independence has been released

Maldives Post Limited has released a stamp set portraying stories of independence.

At the ceremony held at the Post Office at this morning, the stamp set was released by Leader of the Order of the Rule of Ghaazee, Umar Zahir. He also signed the newly released stamps.

Managing Director of the Maldives Post Limited, Ahmed Shafeeq said that although it is small, a stamp is something very powerful.

He said that the most important thing about a stamp is the national pride that it displays.

The new stamp set released was presented to the Home Minister, Umar Naseer.

Shafeeq also said that a stamp is something that teaches a historical lesson in politics and economic life of a nation.
