Coalition parties begin discussions on Environment Minister

The President’s Office has said that discussions are ongoing with coalition parties to appoint a Minister for Environment and Energy.

Spokesperson for President’s Office Abbas Adil Riza said that the new Ministry of Environment and Energy will be formed next week.

“The discussions are ongoing between the government and senior members of the coalition parties. The Ministry will be set up next week,” Abbas Adil Riza said.

It has been confirmed to Sun that the new Ministry of Environment and Energy will be located in Hulhumale’.

A senior government official said that it is ‘very likely’ that the Environment Ministry will be located at Hulhumale’, and that it will be finalized next week.
