Man in ICU after traffic accident in Nolhivaram

A young man who sustained serious injuries in a traffic accident in H.Dh. Nolhivaram last night is being treated in the ICU of Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital.

President of the Nolhivaram Council, Mariyam Habeeb told Sun Media today that Faarish Ibrahim, local, sustained serious injuries in the accident that took place around midnight last night.

She said that the accident took place when Faarish was driving his motorcycle near the island’s volleyball court and hit the root of a tree.

“Faarish was first taken to this island’s health center. After that he was taken to Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital for further treatment. He’s being treated at the hospital’s ICU.” Councilor Mariyam said.

Councilor Mariyam said that his survival is very low according to the hospital.

Police Media Official said that they have not received information about an accident in Nolhivaram.

There has been no word on the matter from the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital as of yet.
