Ali Waheed: MDP has overcome impossible challenges, and will continue to do so

Chairperson of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Ali Waheed has said that the party has overcome many challenges previously considered impossible, and that it will continue to do so.

This came in a statement by MDP on the occasion of its ten-year anniversary.

Ali Waheed said that MDP was “facing challenges from six sides”, but it will move forward with its allies.

He said that the party will “move forward, and move forward fast”.

Noting that MDP is the political party with the highest membership in the Maldives, he said that the party’s aim should be to facilitate a happy life for Maldivians once again.

The oldest political party in the Maldives, formed when the new Constitution came into effect, MDP presently has 44,608 members registered with the Elections Commission.
