Projects of Works Corporation transferred to Housing Ministry

The cabinet has made the decision today to transfer the projects of Works Corporation Limited to Housing Ministry.

The President’s Office said that the decision was made after discussion on the projects of Works Corporation.

In the discussion, cabinet members noted that the handover of projects to Works Corporation had not resulted in improvements in terms of speed or expenses.

They also expressed confidence that by transferring the projects to Ministry of Housing and Environment, expenses can be reduced and progress of the projects can be speeded up.
