Three arrested under suspicion of transporting drugs to Addu by air

Three people have been arrested under suspicion of transporting fifty bullet sized pieces of drugs to Addu by air.

Police said that the arrests were made at around 23:00 last night.

The people had arrived in Addu from Male’ and were leaving Addu airport when Police, who had been acting on some information they had received, arrested them. Police did not disclose the exact location where the arrests were made, or any details about the arrested people.

Three men and one woman were also arrested last Saturday, for trying to bring in drugs to Addu in two small biscuit containers.

In addition, Police uncovered a huge drug network earlier this month and arrested three people.
