President and First Lady gift rice, dates to single mothers, persons with disabilities

President Abdulla Yameen and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim have provided rice and dates to single mothers and persons with disabilities in Malé.

To inaugurate this program, First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim visited houses of persons with disabilities in Malé yesterday and gave them rice, dates, and MVR 2,000 each.

Director of Muleeaage Fathimath Rahma said that efforts were ongoing to distribute 10 kilos of rice to persons with disabilities, 5 kilos of rice to single mothers, and 1 kilo of dates to both, as part of the President’s and First Lady’s Ramadan gifts.

Rice and dates will also be distributed to the poor under this program, said Rahma.
