Second phase of the Storm Water project has begun

Male’ Water and Sewage Company (MWSC) says that that gravity line or pipes would be placed in five areas of Male’ by end of the second phase of this joint Housing Ministry and MWSC project.

The gravity line installment on the road where IGM Hospital is located started today.

The first phase of the project was completed earlier in the month. An agreement with MWSC was signed to provide maintenance and operations of phase one for the duration of one year.

Junctions were places in the areas that get most floods during phase one of the project.

MWSC says that by the end of the phase two, the flooding in Male’ city would be minimal.
