Shareef: We won

MP for Maradhoo constituents, Ibrahim Shareef has said that MDP would not give the opportunity to destroy the local governance system.

Speaking at an opposition event at G.A. Vilingili, MP Shareef said that no matter how much the government obstructs, MDP would not allow the local governance system to be destroyed.

He said that local governance is the system that services the closest to the people and even the governing party PPM would not want to destroy it.

Shareef said that MDP is ready to hold discussions with the government and they would announce the members who would take part in the discussions soon. And called the government to approach the discussions honestly.

“To the Maldivian government, what I have to say is, bring the country’s peace forward. If you are going to discuss with us, come to the discussion with honesty. We are ready for discussions. We would announce those who would be representing us in these talks very soon.” MPP Shareef said.
