State Trading Organisation (STO) has announced that it will lower the prices of egg, onion, and potato during Ramadan.
Managing Director of STO Ahmed Shaheer told Sun Online that this has been STO’s practice for many years now, and egg, onion, and potato would be made available at “reasonable” prices in Malé and other islands during Ramadan.
He further said that a special warehouse was being set up to ensure the stock does not run out before the end of Ramadan.
The items would be available at STO Supermarket.
Food prices go up every Ramadan, and STO takes several measures to control this every year.
