AG: Legal changes being made to expand business environment

Attorney General Mohamed Anil has said that legal changes are being made to expand the country’s business environment.

Anil made this remark at a ceremony at Hotel Jen on Sunday, 17 May 2015, to inaugurate Enterprise Development Centres.

He highlighted the expeditious efforts to amend and strengthen the laws related to Small and Medium Enterprises, and said that efforts were also ongoing to make the Companies Act more modern and attractive to investors.

Anil said that the result would be sustainable economic development for the country, which in turn will ensure safety and peace and order for the people.

He called on everyone to work together to achieve this goal.

He also said that Enterprise Development Centres will create new businesses, and noted the success of the government's economic policy.
