High Court orders release of JP Deputy Leader Ameen

High Court has issued an order to release Deputy Leader of Jumhooree Party (JP) Ameen Ibrahim.

The verdict from the High Court said that reviewing the argument from the Police and the PG’s at the court and the evidence presented the crime Ameen is suspected is instigating fear.

Criminal Court said that an intelligence report was submitted to the Criminal Court to as evidence to what exactly he said to instigate fear. And at the High Court, Police said that the document which says what Ameen said in his speech at the protest is not his exact words but an interpretation of it by the officer who wrote it.

The verdict from the High Court said that the judge who extended the remand period for Ameen did not fully review the evidence for any phrase he used to instigate fear when he extended the remand period for the JP Deputy Leader for the safety of the community.
