Man arrested with a large number of stolen money

A large number of stolen money has found on a man arrested while attempting to open the under-seat compartment on parked motorcycles.

Police said that the 26-year-old man was arrested near the Maafannu “Bisburu” yesterday around 2 while using a key on some motorcycles.

And when he was searched, Police found a large number of fizzy drinks and cigarette packs believed to be stolen and a counterfeit note of an MVR 100 and more than MVR 1800 stolen money and dollars in the bag he was carrying.

Police said that the man arrested has a record for fraud, mugging, drugs and theft.
