High Court has accepted the case of extending the detention of MDP Chairperson Ali Waheed and the Leader of the Adhaalath Party Sheikh Imran who was arrested for the investigation.
Criminal Court extended the detention period of the two by 15 days on Saturday.
The lawyer of the two, Husnu Suood told Sun Media today that the documents for the appeal was sent to the High Court by the Criminal Court yesterday and the High Court has accepted the case today.

While the Leader of the Adhaalath Party has given a statement to the Police, the MDP chairperson remains silent as his constitutional right.
Aside from the two, the Vice President of Jumhooree Party, Ameen Ibrahim and the Party’s Foreign and Public Relations, Sobah Rasheed was arrested in the case.
