Sun Travels to hold blood donation camps

Sun Travels and Tours has decided to hold blood donation camps to mark its 25th anniversary.

The company’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations Steering Committee Member, Aishath Rafiyya, told Sun Online that they will hold four blood camps in cooperation with Maldives Thalassaemia Society.

The first camp will be held at Maldivian Blood Services on 16 May, the second at Olhuveli Beach and Spa on 21 May, and the third and fourth at Vilureef and Irufushi resorts, said Rafiyya.

She said that through this camp, the company hopes to break the record for the most number of employees of a company giving blood, which currently stands at 270.

Sun Travels will also hold an event for children, in Vilingili on the 15 May.

The Grand Gala to mark the silver jubilee has been scheduled for 28 May.
