Opposition parties have said that they have decided to hold another big protest.
Speaking to the press at the Adhaalath Party head office today, the Leader of the MDP’s Parliamentary Group, Ibrahim Mohamed Soalih (Ibu) said that their aim is to hold the second protest before the end of the month.
“In today’s meeting, we have decided to hold, with god’s will, another big rally. We are discussing what we’d do and the activities that would go on. The target is to hold a big rally before the month ends. We have the guarantee that a large number of people from the corners of country would join us.” Ibu said.
Ibu said that that protest would be held with huge support and initiative from the youth and a lot of people have guaranteed that they would take part keeping the politics aside and in national spirit.
“So this rally would be even bigger than the one held on 1 May.” Ibu said.
He said that with the big rally, other activities would also move forward.
Some of the protesters at the “To end Tyranny” rally held by the oppositions last Friday attacked two of the Police officers that night. Seven people have been arrested regarding the attack on an officer at Chaandhanee Magu.
