Child injured in assault

A child has been injured in an assault in Malé.

The police spokesperson said that the incident took place on Ameenee Magu at around 9:00 p.m.

The child is receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital and his condition is not serious, the police spokesperson said.

No one has been arrested.
