Snake over five feet found in Addu City

A snake over five feet long has been found in a house in Addu City.

Police Media Official said that the snake found in Sivaaruge, Addu City Hithadhoo around 9:30 p.m. tonight was five feet seven inches in length.

The Media Official said that when the report of a snake on the land of Sivaaruge came to the Hithadhoo Police Station, the Police went to the scene caught the snake with the aid of the MNDF Fire and Rescue Services.

“So far we know that it was not a pet kept in the house. And we don’t know how it came in.” The Media Official said.

Police said that the snake was dead when the Police and the MNDF arrived on the scene.
